Duke of York

JMDA were tasked by Cameron’s Brewery to deliver a fresh design and enhanced exterior for the well known ‘Duke’, whilst being mindful of its rich history and medieval features.  The bar & restaurant areas were sympathetically refurbished to add a contemporary twist to the historic Grade II-listed building, using quirky lighting and bric-a-brac inspired by the local history. Large feature bookcases, aged portraits, and statement chandeliers were tastefully placed to create the cosy & traditional space, along with revitalised exteriors in a light ‘heritage’ blue and new signage featuring Richard the third Duke of York’s coat of arms.
